1st Press release

15th Days of European Film – a festival of films from current and future EU member countries, will take place in April instead of in January as usuall.

Over the course of the summer Eva Kačerová, the director of the festival, passed on the managerial and organization duties to Magdaléna Králová and Eva‘s long time collegue Barbora Golatová.

The festival will take place on 17.4-29.4.2008 in Prague and 25.-30.4.2008 in Brno. The term change from winter to spring was caused not only by organisation reasons but also because of the general financial insecurity, unsustainable in the long run.

It is becoming a tradition for the Prague part of the festival to take place in the cinemas Aero and Svetozor, and for the Brno part in the cinema B. Bakaly. There will also be the Echoes of DEF, which will present the selection of the main program in several Czech and Moravian regions.
